It's a message I've never heard explicitly anywhere except among Christians. Hollywood doesn't say it; European NGO's don't even hint at it for all their goodwill; pop culture has never mentioned it. That leaves women to figure this out for themselves, often painfully. It could all be so different. So I guess what I'm saying is... spread the word. Although I'm an atheist I'd never read the books and had no idea about the church connection (except of course that the term Magisterium is one used by the Catholic church, so I instantly knew what it was about while watching the film). I thought it was about as good as The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, which for my money was much better than the dreary Lord of the Rings films. Unfortunately it looks as if the film bombed in the US market so it's unlikely to get a sequel. I would have liked to see more. I'm looking forward to watching Prince Caspian when it comes out on DVD. I went to see the film when it came out.
